About Christy’s Place

Transitional shelter for homeless women (with or without children).

Christy’s Place has 6 private bedrooms, 3 shared bathrooms, a shared kitchen, a shared living room and playroom and a resource center. We keep the pantry, refrigerators, freezers stocked, so no resident will have to worry about feeding themselves or their children. We provide laundry detergent, hygiene products, paper products, fresh sheets, pillow cases, pillows, blankets and towels and assist with clothes and shoes. All adult residents are required to complete daily chores, which are designated by room and rotated each month or as needed.

We provide case management weekly and as needed for the following topics:

  • Budgeting
  • Resume writing
  • Employment applications
  • House hunting & rental applications
  • Peer counseling
  • Advocacy
  • Referrals

We are also available for guidance in obtaining government benefits, such as food stamps and health insurance, filing disability, finding child care, enrolling a child in school and finding a medical doctor or counselor.
